Set up your encoder

1. Point your BELABOX at this server

Connect to your encoder over SSH (the username and password are shown in belaUI under System) and run:

This installs an agent that redirects belaUI to this server. It does not modify belaUI itself, so BELABOX updates will not undo it. To undo it yourself, run sudo bb-agent uninstall.

2. Choose a remote key

Open belaUI on your encoder (usually belabox.local), scroll to Remote, and enter a key of your choosing. Any key works — it is what links this page to your encoder. Treat it like a password: anyone who has it can control your encoder and see its stream settings.

3. Enter the same key above

Your encoder should appear within a few seconds. Bookmark the resulting page — it contains your key, so keep it private.

Recommended latency: 1500-2500ms

Setting the latency too low will increase glitching and reduce the bitrate that can be sustained
